Apart from the rehearsals and preparation for concerts, the choir offers several possibilities for meeting new people, including the choir retreats in spring and autumn, "bring parties" (pot lucks) and other activities or by volunteering for one of the several highly engaged teams involved in the organization of the choir and its activities.

In 1999, the choir had its first performance abroad in the American Church in Paris. It also performed the "Caribbean Mass" in 2005 in Siena.
In April 2007 the choir performed in Vietnam (Hanoi and Saigon). Following an invitation from the Goethe Institut the GACC e.V. opened the German Culture-Weeks together with another choir and orchestra from Hanoi and presented the "Creation" by Haydn.
