Jim Schar

Jim Schar James "Jim" Schar was born in Ohio, USA, and came to Germany in 1980. He studied piano at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts. Jim Schar worked as a répétiteur at the Theater of the City of Heidelberg and at the TAT – Theater am Turm – in Frankfurt/Main.
He is currently a member of the teaching staff at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts. He gained a high profile through performing in duets with Margaret Busby, focusing primarily on 20th Century American music.

Jim is the founder and conductor of the renowned "Frankfurt Chamber Singers", furthermore he conducts and accompanied several choir in Frankfurt and Darmstadt, among other things the ESOC Chorus (www.esoc-chorus.de).

Jim conducts yearly one of the three concerts of the German-American Community Choir e.V. and arranged several songs which were sang by the choir.
